Rich Preuss, Founder
“I suppose it all began with sitting in on Bernstein’s Concert for Kids every weekend. Music has always been a big part of my life.”
With a Pastoral background, Rich Preuss just wanted to help people. He was quick to see the struggles and pitfalls of the young singer looking to build a career. “It is the proverbial Catch 22. You have to be established to do anything, to be recognized, yet no one will help you to get established. And I am angered by those who prey on them.”
It’s a simple story. Writer, entrepreneur, and teacher, he began to study, research, and diligently seek out the true teachers and coaches who can not only help a voice, but enhance a resume. It began with helping one friend, and quickly grew to where he had to have a staff. He expanded repertoires and reworked résumés to present the singers in their best light…and from there, began making inroads, friends and contacts into many of the Largest Opera houses in the country.
Because he became known as an honest advocate for his talented people, his calls and letters were well received, and he has been able to place young unknowns in Main Stage auditions that they would never had been granted left to their own resources. It began with San Francisco Opera, Washington National Opera, Seattle Opera, Canadian Opera Company, followed by a host of others including Europe.
It is his belief in the talents of the Artists he works with, that drives him. And that is recognized and respected. A different way of doing things, a different attitude. It has always been his way.
Rich is known to have an incredible ear, and has taken many singers in whom he has seen potential, and brought them along into the right repertoire and fach. Because of this gift, he has been asked to offer his help to many organizations and serves on "The Panel of Experets" for Career Bridges... an organization founded by the famous tenor David Bender which holds annual competitions to give financial help to young singers.

Hailing from Spain proper, Diego Tarraga joins us with full knowledge of the traditions and customs required to gain access to the many rich and rewarding venues for our performers, not only in Spain, but in other Spanish speaking countries.
A student from the Almansa Conservatory in 1992 at the age of twelve, and added opera at The University of Murcia in 2000; on his arrival in the US in 2008, he expanded his vocal studies at The Manhattan School of Music, Columbia University and Cuny University, and Percussion with The Big Apple Corps and QUO.
Diego comes to us with an understanding of what the singer needs to be successful, and the drive and desire to help. We are quite proud of him and welcome him as our most recent edition.
Jennifer Osborne
